01Why Quick KPIs?

Busy isn't the same as growing.

Most teams track too much and own too little. Quick KPIs is THE tool that gives every critical number an owner, a deadline and a follow-up — so nothing important slips through the cracks again.

01

Your critical KPIs live in someone's head — or in five different spreadsheets.

Identify the critical few KPIs that actually run your business, in one place.

02

Everyone assumes someone else is responsible for the number.

Allocate every KPI to a named staff member, team or individual.

03

Late updates slip by quietly until it's too late to act.

Miss a confirmation and an email goes straight to them — and to their manager.

02How it works

Four steps. Zero excuses.

  1. 01

    Identify

Pick the critical KPIs that truly run your business — not fifty vanity metrics.

  2. 02

    Allocate

Give every KPI an owner: a staff member, a team or an individual.

  3. 03

    Confirm

Owners confirm their KPIs on time, so you always know where you stand.

  4. 04

    Escalate

Late? An email goes to them — and to their manager. Automatically.

The story behind Quick KPIs

My name is Ian McManus and I have owned multiple businesses in my life as well as having lots of interesting jobs. As you all know, business isn't a smooth ride, it has its ups and downs. At one point, we were so busy and growing so fast, that we lost focus on what we wanted to achieve.

Luckily, we had recently hired a new accountant, not the kind that does book-keeping, the kind that looks at your numbers and looks at what you are doing and asks lots of questions. (The kind of accountant everybody needs but rarely finds.) Let's call him "Phil" because that is his real name. Phil made the biggest impact on my business of anything else that I ever did!

What Phil did, was identify our critical KPIs and then re-focus us on achieving those KPIs. Suddenly, our vision was clear again.

Revenue increased, profitability increased and we could reward our staff on achieving planned results. The transformation was amazing! The staff were motivated, and understood how all of these KPIs made our business stronger and more secure.

As we progressed, we introduced more KPIs and allocated every one of them to a staff member, a team or a manager.

Some staff got salary increases and knew why, some didn't get a raise, and they knew why. Staff reviews became much easier, and management meetings were focused on the KPIs.

When we sold that business, we were able to show the new owners our historical KPIs and how we managed them. The hand-over was easy.

Since then, I have installed this process in every business I have owned or managed and it has paid dividends every time.

Quick KPIs is my way of passing on this amazing business system to you and to your business and staff.

I hope you will see the results immediately and I look forward to hearing from you.
